First S’mores of the Season

It was a beautiful Spring day in New England.

The kind that had all the kids on our block running around outside and all the adults emerging from their winter hibernation.  It was great to see our neighbors and just be out on such a pretty day.  By dusk, a chill was in the air and the coats had to come back on, but that’s OK, because it’s that’s time of the year.

S’mores time, my friends.

The minute I said it was S’mores time, The Cuties sprung into action and began collecting their sticks from around the yard.  We busted out the pillows and fleece blankets for the outdoor lounge and Cute Husband started up a fire in the fire pit.

The Cuties start off serious and focused….

And we quickly turn into this ~

Different people have different approaches to how they roast their marshmallows.  The Cuties’ technique has really improved over the years, but in our house, I am the reigning Master Supreme.  This, my dear readers, is what multiple summers of sleep away camp will add to your resume ~

And a graham cracker and some chocolate buddies, and voila!

Mmmmmmm…..Can’t write any more.  Must.roast.more.marshmallows!
