End of Year Teacher Gifts

I shared with you my ideas for some teacher gifts back at the holidays, but now it’s time to come up with some end of the year gifts as well.

This time of the year, I like to include all of the “specials” teachers at The Cuties school as well, so I had quite a list of people.  So here’s what I came up with – it’s just my kind of project: easy and within budget!

I started with plain straw tumblers.  I lucked out and found the BPA-free ones I really like at Marshalls for only $3 each and they had the dozen I needed all at one store!

I then took my new Silhouette machine and added each teacher’s first and last name.  I filled the cups with shredded paper so the names really stood out.  Then I took cellophane bags I use to wrap up my headbands in my Etsy shop and slipped a small Starbucks gift card inside {you could choose to skip this part and just do the cup, depending on your budget}.  Added a big bow and a tag and I’m good to go!

And here’s the tag we added ~

For their main classroom teachers, I added in a Barnes & Noble card so they could pick up a book as well to start their summer off!

I ordered the gift cards through our school Market Money program so they even made a little money off me, and the ribbons were all from my scrap jar so no additional expenses for wrapping.

I love this and am going to steal this idea! so cute!

  2. As a middle school teacher who LOVES her job, I have to say… those are the sweetest gifts! I cannot express how little gifts like this take a looooong tired week and turn it into something great. My favorite gifts are the ones that were put together by kids or families. I think it’s because the student looks so proud when they hand it to me- like they know it’s something special too. Anyway- thanks for doing this for the teachers out there!

  3. This is such a great idea!

Awesome idea. Alas my teacher crafting days are over since my youngest just graduated, but I’ll be sure to show this idea to my daughter for her children. The cool thing is, I can think of several other people I can make these to bless.

    Blessings,
    Pamela

  8. These are great! Such a nice practical gift, made fun by personalization and thoughtful presentation. I saw these at TT&J, but I actually read this post much earlier in the week. I used an idea of yours that I saw awhile back and ordered embroidered totes for the kids’ teachers this year – they loved them!

  14. Great teacher gift. Teachers deserve thank yous. This is great project for the end of the year. Love it.

Would love if you would link up with us at Creative Creation Tuesday. We would love others to see your project too. Can be found here at Nothing But Country.

Happy Creating! Thanks for sharing your great project.

  15. Love this! It’s funny how often the “specials” teachers are forgotten. I may do this next year for my girls’ teachers. My husband just bought me a Cricut! I am just learning it. What type of material do you buy to do the lettering? I will practice on something over the summer!!!

I received one similar to these from a student this year as an end of the year gift also! I love it! Mine is green and came from Sam’s Club and it had those little drink mixes that you stir into the cup of water! I love it (and the reason I know all of the details is that the students Mom is a teacher too and told me!) Great idea! I love those super thoughtful gifts!
